My personal opinions only :-

Choosing a frame can be a very daunting and hazardous task. Some customers are so fussy, and no frames can suit them. Sometimes it is just their wrong moods on that day. If they come on another day and their mood is better, they may find the right frame.

Some customers do not listen and select the frames they like even when it does not suit them. It is more of the following the trend or fashion in vouge.

Those with high powers should not choose very large frames as it (54mm and above) can cause distortions at the sides and focusing problems. There are some who can adapt to the large frames, but the majority will have problems wearing them. If they do not listen, they can try wearing the large frames and when they find out the truth, they will need to come back to change to a smaller frame.

For progressive glasses, it is also advisable not to choose a very large frame as it will be uncomfortable, difficult to focus and hard to see. Moreover, the PD may be out, no more room to adjust the PD because of the size of the frame.
